1. Sasquatch

  • Provenance: Pacific Northwest, Midwest, Southeast

  • Estimated size: 6 to 9 feet in height, footprints averaging 8 x 24 inches

  • Diet: Opportunistic omnivorous (primarily berries and deer)

  • Description: Muscular, bipedal apelike creature covered in coarse brown or black hair, distinctive for its towering height, humanoid face, and large feet

2. Mothman

  • Provenance: Appalachia (primarily West Virginia), Midwest (primarily Illinois)

  • Estimated size: 7 feet in height, wingspan averaging 7 feet

  • Diet: Unknown, presumed carnivorous

  • Description: Winged humanoid figure with glowing red eyes
