Museum workers struck for three weeks in Massachusetts after management countered union demands for a $2 increase to the base wage and a 4.5% across-the-board cost-of-living increase with a $1 increase and 3.5% general one. After three weeks on the picket, workers returned to their posts with an improved agreement in hand.

Warehouse workers in Sacramento took to the picket line after ten months of unsuccessful contract negotiations over wage increases and burdensome health insurance costs to the tune of $6,000 annually, plus co-pays and out-of-pocket costs. After three weeks on strike, their employer agreed to a three-year contract that meets many workers’ demands, including a new health care plan.
