Global religious demographics are in the midst of a slow but inexorable shift.

The world’s religious makeup might be changing, but belief in God and gods isn’t going anywhere.

In recent decades, Christians have reproduced more times and more quickly than any other religious group, but that will not remain true for much longer. By 2035, the birth rate among Muslims is anticipated to exceed that of Christians, and while Christians will still outnumber them globally by 2060, Muslims will be well on their way to constituting the largest religious group in the world.

Meanwhile, virtually every other major religious group is expected to decline in terms of their percentage of the global faithful.
