Life

  • 07.22.1988: Santos is born in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, to Brazilian parents of the Catholic faith.

  • 2008–2011: Santos lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with his mother, during which time he comes under investigation by the Brazilian authorities for check fraud.

  • 2008: Santos performs in several drag shows in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, under the stage name Kitara.

  • 10.2011–07.2012: Santos works in customer care at the Dish Network center in College Point, Queens, New York.

  • 2012: Santos marries a Brazilian woman.

  • 2013–2018: Santos founds the nonprofit Friends of Pets United but never registers the charity or files for tax-exempt status. The beneficiaries of fundraisers receive little to no money from his campaigns.

  • 01.2014–10.2016: Santos works as a business development manager at Met Global Inc.

  • 06.2014: Santos’s landlord files an eviction suit against him, his mother, and his sister for failing to pay three months’ rent.

  • 2014: Santos proposes to his boyfriend, Pedro Vilarva, who leaves him after learning he is wanted by the Brazilian authorities for fraud.

  • 09.2015: Santos’s former roommate Peter Hamilton takes him to small claims court for an outstanding $5,000 loan. Santos is ordered to pay back the money, plus interest.

  • 11.2015: Santos’s landlord in Woodside, Queens, files an eviction suit alleging $2,250 in unpaid rent. The landlord wins the suit.

  • 12.2016: Santos’s mother dies. He fundraises online and through the Catholic Church to pay for her funeral.

  • 05.2017: Santos’s landlord in Sunnyside, Queens, files an eviction suit alleging more than $10,000 in unpaid rent.

  • 08.2017– 2019: Santos works as an independent contractor at LinkBridge Investors.

  • 12.2018: Discover Bank wins a default judgment against Santos for nearly $2,000 in credit card debt.

  • 01.2020–04.2021: Santos works for Harbor City Capital, an alternative investment company later accused by the SEC of a $17 million Ponzi scheme.

  • 04.2021–present: Santos founds and runs the Devolder Organization, a capital introduction consulting firm, but fails to disclose any clients using the company’s services.

  • 08.2021: Santos leaves his apartment in Whitestone, Queens, having done more than $17,000 worth of damage.
