Issue 44: Letters + the Internet Speaks

Numbers Don’t Lie

As a person who’s sometimes clashed with the perspectives in Jacobin, I read your “Lower the Crime Rate” issue with some trepidation. It turned out to be a very sensitive and serious discussion of the topic of crime and security with the interests of working and poor people at the forefront.

One quibble, though — there were several infographics with limited citations (I found the sources myself, and they seem to be accurate). You publish a challenging publication, not Vogue. There’s no reason for what’s essentially a glossy Marxist journal to omit those details.
