It’s been a crazy 2016, and we’ve had plenty to write about. Over the past twelve months, we’ve published over a thousand essays and five stellar books, in addition to hosting dozens of events and reading groups all around the world.

These interventions have spread far beyond the existing left. Within hours, our response to Trump’s shocking election victory reached 200,000 people. And now, with 25,000 subscribers and a much larger online audience, we’re posed to continue to offer desperately needed perspectives to more people than ever.

What’s more, we’ve managed to come within a hair of sustaining this work financially. Through our subscription growth alone, we’ve been able to expand our staff and improve the quality and frequency of our work. Our last issue is a testament to what we can accomplish with just a little love.

We’re just $15,000 shy of our fundraising target with a few days left in the year. It’s an amount that’s a little beyond our reach, but a generous donor has agreed to match funds up to a total of $5,000.
